The Beaufort Delta Divisional Council seeks a passionate Educator to shape educational programs that celebrate diversity and promote equity. In this role, you will collaborate with educators, Elders, and community members to develop a competency-based curriculum. Your dedication to indigenization will be pivotal in creating a learning environment that reflects local Indigenous culture and practices.
Key Responsibilities:• Develop a competency-based curriculum rooted in Indigenous knowledge • Foster cultural inclusion and respect diverse Indigenous perspectives • Implement equity strategies to enhance school community belonging • Engage with the community for continuous program improvement• Integrate land-based learning opportunities into curriculum
Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in Education • Eligible for Northwest Territories teaching certificate • Fluency in Inuvialuktun • Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
