Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Interior Designer, based just north of Kitchener, serving the Waterloo Region & surrounding areas. The Interior Designer will be responsible for creating and developing interior design concepts, managing space planning, creating detailed construction drawings, and selecting and coordinating fixtures, furniture, and equipment (FF&E;). Daily responsibilities include collaborating with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met and design excellence is achieved. The role also involves staying updated on industry trends and innovative design concepts. Duties - Working as an integral part of the Pre-Construction Team to design and contribute to the success of a wide array of high-end residential projects. - Completing a diverse range of daily tasks to support successful projects, including: - Initial design consultations as a part of our sales cycle, determining concepts & project budget - Full Design Specifications Packages; including Working Drawings, Millwork Packages, Details, RCP - Material selections with clients & suppliers - Management and procurement of finishes - Maintaining budgets for all selections - Coordinating of materials/finish selections to sites - Overseeing templates, measures and installation of custom details - Client communication Qualifications - 3-5 years of experience in residential design. - AutoCAD and proficiency in Google Workspace is mandatory with strong spreadsheet skills and ability to build and maintain budgets as required. - Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. - Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members, strong multitasking skills is mandatory. - Ability to interpret client needs into cutting-edge interior solutions that balance aesthetic appeal with functionality.
