Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations. The Sous Chef will assist with menu execution, food quality, staff supervision, and kitchen organization while maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and consistency. This role requires strong leadership, culinary expertise, and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain a positive and committed“Go above and beyond” attitude.
Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
Supervise and support kitchen staff during food preparation and service
Ensure all dishes are prepared to recipe, quality, and presentation standards
Help with menu planning, specials, and recipe development
Monitor food quality, portion control, and consistency
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness (HACCP)
Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff
Manage stock levels, ordering, and minimize food waste
Step in for the Head Chef when required
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a sous chef or leadership role in a fast paced kitchen
Formal culinary training or relevant chef qualifications preferred
Weekend availability is required (Saturday, Sunday)
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Experience leading and training kitchen staff
Valid Food handlers certificate required
Ability to work in face paced high pressure environment
