Job Purpose The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations in the manufacturing area, ensuring effective team management, operational efficiency, quality control, and adherence to safety standards. This role fosters a positive work culture and drives continuous improvement per Select Finishing’s strategic objectives.
Duties
Team Leadership and Development:
Directly manage a team of manufacturing technicians and operators, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
Facilitate regular team meetings and performance discussions, providing guidance, support, and feedback.
Develop team members through targeted training programs and career development opportunities.
Operational Management:
Oversee production processes to ensure timely execution and quality compliance.
Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement in efficiency and output.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and meet production targets.
Safety and Compliance:
Uphold all company safety protocols, conducting regular safety training and audits.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Implement preventative measures to maintain a safe working environment.
Process Improvement:
Champion initiatives aimed at process optimization, waste reduction, and cost‑efficiency.
Collaborate with the Quality Control team to uphold product standards and address any quality issues.
Encourage a proactive approach to problem‑solving and innovation within the team.
Qualifications Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role.
Minimum formal education: Grade 12 or GED.
Required training: Management Training, H&S Training, WHMIS 2015.
