Controls Designer (Windsor)

Controls Designer – Automation & Assembly Valiant TMS, a global industry leader, is looking for a energetic Controls Designer to join our Automation and Assembly division. Passionate about crafting cutting‑edge technology solutions for customized equipment, including Battery Tray Assembly, Battery Assembly and Test Systems, Leak Test Equipment, Industrial Parts Washers, and Material Handling Automation. Responsibilities Collaborate with controls experts and manufacturing specialists to generate practical controls designs tailored to meet client needs. Innovate and implement controls solutions for existing equipment while establishing controls standards for new projects. Under guidance of senior team members, contribute to hardware designs (electric and pneumatic), generate project Bill of Materials, perform design calculations, and ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards. Work closely with Senior Software Developers to create PLC, HMI, and other smart device programs. Support the controls manufacturing team during debugging and potentially provide installation supervision at customer facilities to ensure equipment functions according to design criteria. Qualifications Engineering degree with controls expertise, experience designing automation systems in AutoCAD Electrical and/or ePLAN P8; RS Studio, Siemens Step 7, and TIA Portal. Innovative thinker, able to bring creative and outside‑the‑box ideas to projects. Results‑driven, determined to deliver measurable outcomes. Team player who thrives on collaboration and passion. Compensation The expected compensation for this position is $30.00 – $39.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skillset, or location.
