Equipment Operator/Labourer (Windsor)

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dependable Equipment Operator/Labourer to join our team. This role involves operating machinery such as skid steers and mini- excavators.and assisting with tasks to ensure efficient project completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience with equipment and must possess a G license.. Prior experience in commercial driving is highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring precision and safety awareness. Year round work. Wage is dependant on experience. $35/hr in winter Responsibilities - Operate equipment including loaders, excavators, graders, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery with safety and efficiency. - Assist in site preparationand other construction activities. - Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal operation. - Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work setting at all times. - Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards. - Drive commercial vehicles as required for transporting equipment or materials between sites. Requirements - Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, backhoes, and similar machinery. - Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. - Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred or required depending on the role. - Knowledge of construction processes including paving and horizontal drilling is a plus. - Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy loads safely. - Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety standards. - Prior experience working with Caterpillar equipment is advantageous. This position is essential for supporting our construction projects through skilled operation of heavy machinery and hands-on labour tasks.
