General Labourer (Summer Student) (Windsor)

As we look to the future, we are seeking a General Labourer (Summer Student) to join our Minas Energy team. The role: Reporting to the Hydro Manager and site staff, the General Labourer will help with general duties around the grounds of the hydroelectric power generation plant. What you’ll do: - Complete ongoing maintenance of grounds and site vegetation - Assist site staff with groundskeeping - Assist in special projects and collaborate with contractors and cross-functional teams as required - Complete ongoing training as required to meet the demands of the role What you’ll bring to our team: - Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program - Safety-first mindset - Self-starter with a high degree of responsibility, initiative, and accountability - Effective communication skills - An aptitude for continuous learning - The ability to complete physical work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, near and on the water and working at heights - Ability to lift 50 lbs - A valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract Job Type: Seasonal Contract length: 3 months Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.50 per week Perks: - Casual dress - On-site parking Application question(s): - Do you have reliable transportation to the work location? - Are you legally entitled to work in Canada?
