Tooling Manager / Toolroom Manager - Stamping (Windsor)

Our client, an Automotive part manufacturer has an immediate opening for Tooling Manager or Toolroom Manager for its Metal Stampings facility located in Windsor Ontario. This hands-on position is responsible for the supervision of qualified Tool & Die makers and General Contractors in a multi-shift workplace in general die maintenance and repair of automotive stamping dies (progressive, transfer, robotic tandem). The Tool Room Manager is also responsible for implementing and managing preventative/predictive maintenance programs and assisting plant operations with engineering solutions, commissioning, and product launches. This position has direct reports of 8-10 skilled technicians and is based in Windsor, Ontario. Qualifications for candidates: Certified Tool & Die Makers or substantial experience in Tool & Die trade required 5+ years of Tool Room management experience Extensive knowledge in automotive metal stampings Strong mechanical skills Experience with systems-orientated preventative maintenance Experience in predictive maintenance measures Strong multi-tasking skills Strong organization skills Proven leadership and coaching abilities Proficient computer skills using Microsoft office Other: Experience in automotive production environment In-press tool repairs Knowledge with progressive/transfer and line dies Knowledge of high strength materials and/or aluminum is an asset Very involved floor, hands on management style a must Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2om1uh
