Electrician
Work Schedule: 12‑hour rotating continental shifts (days and nights). The position is 100% on‑site at the Windsor site in Windsor, Ontario. Position Summary
Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, the Electrician is responsible for maintaining all electrical systems in accordance with Ontario Hydro standards, Electrical Code, CSA standards, and safety regulations. Responsibilities
Layout, assemble, install, repair, maintain, connect, and test fixtures, HVAC systems, apparatus, control equipment, and wiring for electrical and electronic systems. Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns for electrical controls, motor controls, heating and cooling controls, and plant lighting. Perform bench repairs for electrical devices such as heaters, probes, and motors.Perform equipment set‑ups and electrical installations such as plant wiring and control panels from blueprints, sketches, and specifications. Assist the Mechanic in repairing pumps, fans, mixers, etc., and disassemble or reassemble equipment as required. May work extended hours (overtime) when problems occur or deadlines must be met.Use PLC knowledge and understanding of controls from various providers and perform other duties as required. Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED/CAEC, or equivalent educational credential assessment (ECA) required. Licensed Industrial Electrician certification required (309A, 442A). 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or GMP facility preferred. Strong mathematical skills for basic calculations and strong technical/electrical background.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. High degree of attention to detail, accuracy, and good written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of automation systems is an asset. Physical Demands
Frequent sitting and use of hands and fingers for tasks such as handling, feeling, and keyboard manipulation, requiring manual dexterity. Occasional standing, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, requiring close vision and potential exposure to chemicals.Compensation
The starting hourly rate for this position is $42.50 per hour. Benefits
