As a Methods & Temporary Works (M&TW;) Coordinator, you will play a key role in developing and coordinating construction methodologies to ensure secure, efficient, and cost-effective project execution. You will support project teams by bridging the gap between design and construction, with a strong emphasis on construction methods and planning, while also contributing to temporary works coordination. Responsibilities Construction Methods Develop and optimize construction methods and sequences in collaboration with project teams. Prepare and maintain method statements, drawings, risk assessments, and technical documentation. Coordinate, collaborate and/or supervise with technicians and colleagues in the preparation of method documents. Analyze project drawings and specifications to identify construction challenges and propose solutions. Coordinate with planning and site teams to align construction methods with project schedules and logistics. Support the development of lifting, hoisting, and access strategies. Assist in constructability reviews and provide input during design development. Facilitate coordination between engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure method feasibility. Participate in site visits to validate methods and support implementation. Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives related to construction methods. Temporary Works Assist in identifying temporary works needs based on construction methods and site conditions. Coordinate with engineers and technicians to support the design and documentation of temporary structures (e.g., formwork, shoring, access systems). Review temporary works drawings and calculations for constructability and compliance. Support field teams with technical guidance and documentation related to temporary works. Ensure temporary works are planned and executed in accordance with safety standards and project requirements. Qualifications A degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in civil/infrastructure construction, with a solid focus on construction methods. Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license or eligibility to obtain one with British Columbia considered an asset. Familiarity with temporary works design and coordination. Proficiency in AutoCAD and construction planning tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project). Strong understanding of construction techniques and sequencing. Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. A proactive mindset and attention to detail.
