Be a catalyst for community growth as an Advisor for Rural and Indigenous Engagement with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo in Fort McMurray. This role drives meaningful interactions with diverse communities across the region. You will work closely with Indigenous and rural clients to enhance municipal services and ensure cultural sensitivity within various projects. Your expertise will guide program development and execution, making a tangible impact in community relations and consultations. Key Responsibilities: • Facilitate engagement with Indigenous communities and partners • Develop strategies promoting cultural awareness and inclusion • Provide policy advice to improve service delivery • Advocate for the interests of rural communities • Coordinate communication for effective engagement processes Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as Indigenous Law • Five years’ experience working in Indigenous contexts • Proficient in negotiation and problem-solving • Robust written and verbal communication skills • Valid driver’s license to facilitate community outreach Engage with Indigenous and rural stakeholders to strengthen relationships and promote effective municipal governance.
