Reference Number: 30401Jardeg is hiring a Welder Apprentice to join the Heartland Constructors maintenance team at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. Charter flights are provided from Calgary/Edmonton to site. Shift schedules will be on 14 days on, 14 days off, 12 hours per day. While working on site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facility, Wi‑Fi and much more.Responsibilities

Have thorough knowledge of metals, arc electrodes, welding gases and gas welding filter rods. Join or sever metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components under supervision. Able to prepare, fit up and bridge tack weld pipe for SMAW/GTAW process. Have a working knowledge of the welding equipment involved with various welding procedures.Minimum Requirements
