The base salary ranges from $58,915 to $81,008, with eligibility for an incentive target of $27,000.00 contingent upon achieving individual and company performance objectives. The pay range is a potential total compensation estimate and may vary based on location, experience and other factors. Position Summary
Account Managers will produce positive sales growth for a specific geography or vertical market with an average of 40-45 current accounts and $2M in annual sales. Use Grainger's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Salesforce, for all daily business aspects. You will report to the District Sales Manager.Job Responsibilities
Understand customer goals and remain alert and responsive to changing customer needs. Demonstrate knowledge of market data and access resources to respond quickly to new developments in the customer's business. Oversee support of managed inventory tasks to guide greater customer understanding, increase contacts within the customer group, and increase sales results.Provide solutions to grow profitable sales by understanding Grainger’s Value Proposition. Develop account penetration strategies, including regular business reviews for essential customers. Education / Experience
2+ years of direct outside sales experience (or equivalent inside sales or marketing experience). Experience with sales forecasting, opportunity management, and customer planning. Travel required to each customer within the aligned market at least once per month, or more frequently as needed. Process discipline, ability to align planning goals with a pipeline development process to grow market revenue.Ability to utilize the sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns and determine appropriate solutions. High School diploma or GED (post-secondary education preferred). Rewards&Benefits
