Petting Zoo Attendant (Beachville)

Job Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and friendly Petting Zoo Attendants to provide an engaging and memorable experience for visitors of all ages. This role involves interacting with guests, caring for animals, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment at our zoo. Duties - Greet visitors warmly and provide information about the animals and exhibits - Assist guests with feeding, petting, and handling animals in a safe manner - Maintain cleanliness of animal enclosures and surrounding areas - Educate visitors about animal care, behaviors, and conservation efforts - Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any concerns to management - Manage guest interactions efficiently, including answering questions and providing directions - Handle cash transactions accurately for admission tickets or merchandise sales - Ensure guest safety by enforcing zoo rules and guidelines during animal interactions Requirements - Prior experience working with children is preferred; patience and friendliness are essential - Strong public speaking skills to engage visitors effectively - Excellent customer service skills to create a welcoming atmosphere - Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly - Experience in food service or hospitality is a plus but not required - Passion for animals and outdoor work environments - Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or bending as needed - Reliable team player with strong communication skills - Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, engaging with families, and sharing their love of animals.
