Regional Reliability Engineer Location: Southwestern Ontario (Multi-site role) Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Department: Operations Compensation: Competitive salary range of $120,000 – $135,000, plus a comprehensive benefits and pension package About the Role We are seeking an experienced Regional Reliability Engineer to play a critical role in driving equipment reliability, asset performance, and maintenance excellence across multiple manufacturing sites in Ontario. This position is ideal for a hands-on engineering skilled who enjoys solving complex problems, influencing maintenance strategy, and partnering cross-functionally to improve safety, uptime, and cost performance. You will act as a subject matter expert in reliability engineering, working closely with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to embed best practices, strengthen asset management programs, and deliver measurable improvements in plant performance. Key Responsibilities Reliability & Asset Performance - Analyze equipment performance, failure data, and maintenance history to identify trends and deploy effective engineering and reliability solutions - Lead reliability strategy development using RCM, PM Optimization (PMO), predictive tools, and life-cycle cost analysis - Identify “bad actors” and implement targeted corrective actions to improve MTBF, availability, and asset life Maintenance Strategy & Systems - Develop, optimize, and standardize maintenance strategies for critical assets - Take ownership of CMMS implementation, optimization, and integration into plant operations - Improve asset hierarchies, spare parts strategies, and inventory management to reduce downtime and costs - Update and apply asset criticality matrices to enhance job planning and crew utilization Data, Analysis & Continuous Improvement - Monitor and analyze KPIs; develop action plans when performance deviates from targets - Conduct Pareto and root cause analyses, ensuring corrective actions are tracked to completion - Perform capital investment appraisals and life-cycle cost evaluations to support prioritization Project & Engineering Support - Participate in factory and site acceptance testing for new installations - Collaborate with project and engineering teams on design reviews to ensure maintainability and reliability - Interface with equipment vendors and suppliers to implement best practices and expedite documentation Leadership, Training & Culture - Provide coaching and training in root cause analysis, reliability tools, and machinery troubleshooting - Identify capability gaps within maintenance teams and support skill development - Promote a strong culture of safety, risk assessment, incident reporting, and continuous improvement - Support site-level initiatives related to safety, sustainability, and operational excellence Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering - 5–10 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment - Strong background in preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance practices - Demonstrated experience with CMMS, TPM, and reliability-centered maintenance principles - Proven ability to collaborate across teams and influence without direct authority - Six Sigma training or CMRP/CRL certification considered an asset - Strong communication skills and professional maturity - Fluency in spoken and written English - Ability to travel regularly between three Ontario-based sites Compensation & Benefits - Competitive base salary - Paid holidays and generous vacation time - Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage - Defined Contribution Pension with company matching - Optional RRSP contributions - Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - Tuition reimbursement and support for professional certifications - Wellness program with incentives - Paid volunteer time Why Join Us?
