Before and After School Support Staff, Wellington (Elora)

Support children and families in the Before and After School program with the Waterloo Region District School Board. This role involves engaging children in play-based learning while ensuring their well-being and safety.

As a B.A.S.S. employee, you will collaborate with the Designated Early Childhood Educator to foster a positive and inclusive environment for children in junior kindergarten to grade 6. Your focus will include supporting exploration, communication, and safe interactions among children, staff, and parents. This role is crucial in enhancing children's development during their after-school activities.

Key Responsibilities:• Follow DECE guidance in classroom operations • Encourage positive interactions among children and caregivers • Support self-regulation and communication skills • Facilitate child-initiated exploration and play • Promote inclusive experiences for all children

Requirements:• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent • Experience supervising children in a safe manner • Valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level C/AED • Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check • Complete Licensed staff record requirements
