Full-Time AM Lead Hand Cambridge, Wellington (Elora)

Take charge as the AM Lead Hand at GLS Canada in our Cambridge terminal. This full-time role offers a structured schedule from 4:00am to 12:30pm, focusing on leading dock operations.

As a permanent team member, your duties will include supervising staff, routing freight, and operating a forklift. You'll be instrumental in ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines while facilitating shipment audits when necessary. A background in transportation management is advantageous for this role.

Key Responsibilities:• Supervise and train dock personnel on best practices • Monitor dock performance and adjust operations as needed • Handle freight routing, appointment scheduling, and dispatching • Conduct necessary customer shipment audits • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees

Requirements:• Previous experience as a lead hand or in a supervisory role • Forklift certification is a plus • Proven ability to multitask and collaborate • Proficient with Microsoft Office and dispatch systems • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
