Physiotherapy Assistant Role in Tavistock, Wellington (Elora)

Join our Long Term Care team as a Physiotherapy Assistant in Tavistock, Ontario. Support residents with treatment programs and facilitate their progress under the guidance of a Physiotherapist.

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapy Assistant to work with our Long Term Care client starting March 3rd, 2026. This position offers 28 hours per week, focusing on conducting group and individual exercises, documenting progress, and assisting residents in mobility. You will play a crucial role in supporting elderly residents' health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:• Assist with group exercises and one-on-one sessions • Encourage residents to achieve treatment goals • Document treatments and progress after therapy sessions • Assist with walking, sitting, and safe transfers • Monitor health changes and report to the Physiotherapist

Requirements:• Graduate of a Physiotherapy Assistant program • Strong multi-tasking and communication skills • Experience in Long Term Care or similar setting • Current police check for Vulnerable Sector • Valid TB Test and/or Chest X-Ray required
