Job Summary / Responsibilities

Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Gathers and correlates engineering data using established procedures and engineering principles.

Works on engineering assignments involving transportation infrastructure, geotechnical investigations, pavements, and civil design support activities.

Proposes solutions to project challenges through the adaptation and application of standard engineering methods and practices.

Identifies discrepancies in technical results and supports corrective actions.

Provides guidance and mentorship to junior staff and entry‑level engineers where appropriate.

Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budgets and schedules with limited supervision.

Independently performs technical tasks supporting transportation and infrastructure projects, including investigations, design coordination, quality control, and construction oversight activities.

Supports multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of transportation projects including roads, transit, airport, and infrastructure assignments.

Performance at this level requires demonstrated professional engineering experience with increasing responsibility.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering + 4+ years of relevant engineering experience in transportation infrastructure, geotechnical engineering, construction, and project delivery.

Experience supporting transportation‑related projects including roads, transit, airport infrastructure, pavement systems, and associated civil works.

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligible for registration in Saskatchewan.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with transportation infrastructure projects involving roads, transit systems, airport facilities, and civil infrastructure.

Experience with soil investigations, foundations, pavement systems, quality assurance/quality control, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Experience supporting construction oversight and project delivery activities.

Experience with AutoCAD and geotechnical software tools such as LPile, Apile, Plaxis, GeoStudio or similar tools.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $82000 to $130000.
