Lay out work, set up and operate machine tools, and perform any dismantling, fitting, or assembly work required for plant maintenance or construction. Produce machine parts to meet precision tolerances and specified finishes. Receive instructions, print, and work orders. Interpret drawings and sketches, plans, and determine working procedures.Perform and lay out work and make sketches of parts as required. Calculate dimensions, tapers, indices, and other data using shop formulas and handbooks as needed. Select and grind tools according to the hardness, machinability, and other properties of the parts to be machined. Procure or make jigs, fixtures, or machine attachments required for the job.Set up and operate machine tools by adjusting the stops, feeds, and speeds for efficient machining. Milt machine parts to precision tolerances and specified finishes. Use precision measuring instruments and dismantle machinery and equipment. Recondition and make welder contact tips and blocks. Perform occasional crane and hooking as required.Alert relevant personnel to any procedural irregularities. Observe and follow all safety rules and regulations. Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience. Must have a Red Seal Journeyman ticket. Knowledge of mill operations. Compensation

$51.32 hourly. Benefits
