Foremost has an immediate opening for a full time Journeyman Painter located at our manufacturing facility in Calgary, Alberta. This position will work with the Lead Hand, Charge Hand and Foremen to ensure continuous improvements and perform tasks relating to their classifications. Key Responsibilities
Work with minimal direction to reviewing drawing, sketches, lay out boards and written and/or verbal instructions. Prepare and apply prime or finished coats of paint, (protective and decorative) to all parts of finished products and/or equipment. Operate brush or spray-painting equipment as required and is responsible for proper storage and handling of all paints: Endura, PPG, Cloverdale, and painting supplies.Handle care and maintenance of all Company owned finishing and painting equipment and facilities. Assist less experienced personnel with work methods, work habits and performance. Perform other tasks related to their classification. Qualifications
Must have certification from a recognized training facility or has demonstrated the ability to meet the above requirements to the satisfaction of Management. Light/heavy industrial painting and/or coating application experience required. Hand tools required. Safety Training is an asset, but will train as required.Additional Information
This position is for Day Shift The typical schedule is Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts What we Offer
