Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fitter to join our team. This role involves fabricating and assembling metal components using various welding techniques and fitting skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, experience with blueprint reading, and proficiency with a range of tools and machinery. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure precision in fabrication Operate plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape materials Rigging and positioning materials or equipment using cranes or forklifts as neededAssemble fabricated parts into final products or structures following safety standards and specifications Conduct quality inspections using calipers and other measurement tools to verify dimensions and tolerances Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to welding, machining, and construction activitiesAssist in troubleshooting fabrication issues and recommend improvements for efficiency and safety Requirements
Proven experience in welding within a manufacturing or construction setting Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions Familiarity with rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, and basic machining processes Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, calipers, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and welding equipmentKnowledge of assembly processes, schematics interpretation, and construction practices is a plus Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to fabrication tasks Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills Ability to work safely around industrial equipment while maintaining high-quality standardsPhysical capability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during shifts This position is integral to our manufacturing operations, requiring a dedicated skilled capable of delivering precision work in a fast-paced environment.
