INTERMEDIATE ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (Calgary)

Overview

As an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, you will take responsibility for portions of project design, coordination, and technical execution across all project phases, from planning and detailed design to construction support, commissioning, and start‑up, while collaborating with a diverse team of professionals.Responsibilities

Lead and support electrical engineering design for municipal, water, wastewater, commercial, and industrial facilities. Prepare detailed design documents including calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications. Model electrical power systems (up to 750V) using tools such as SKM. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in project meetings.Conduct site assessments and construction reviews to verify compliance with design requirements. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technologists. Assist with project planning, scheduling, cost estimates, and client communications. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline. Eligibility for registration with APEGA. P.Eng certification is considered an asset. Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering. Experience with electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security, communications, and control systems.Solid understanding of Canadian Electrical Code and applicable industry standards. Proven ability to coordinate small or medium design packages. AutoCAD, Revit, SKM and/or ETAP experience would be an asset. Familiarity in the following categories would be beneficial:
