Painter/labourer South Central (Canada)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Painter/Labourer to join our construction and restoration team. This role involves performing various painting tasks. Experience in construction painting, and the use of hand and power tools is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in multiple areas of painting and general labour within a energetic setting. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and masking areas as needed Apply paint, stain, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate application of paint and finishes Assist with rigging and setup of scaffolding or ladders for elevated work Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete various tasks including carpentry or minor repairs Perform restoration work on existing structures, ensuring quality standards are met Maintain a clean work workplace by organizing tools and disposing of waste properly Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries Requirements Prior experience in construction, residential or commercial painting preferred Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently Strong understanding of caulking, rigging, carpentry, and the use of ladders Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines Positive communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service interactions Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds as needed A proactive attitude with a focus on safety and quality workmanship This position provides valuable hands-on experience in the painting industry while supporting the successful completion of diverse projects.
