Responsibilities
Execute High-Performance Coating: Apply industrial-grade paints, primers, and specialized coatings to a variety of heavy machinery and metal components with absolute precision.
Master Surface Preparation: Prep, blast, and clean industrial surfaces meticulously to guarantee maximum paint adhesion and a flawless finish.
Maintain Quality Control: Inspect finished products systematically to detect and correct runs, sags, or uneven thickness, ensuring all components meet strict industrial specs.
Command Specialized Equipment: Safely operate and maintain conventional, airless, and plural-component spray systems, alongside sandblasting gear and curing ovens.
Uphold Safety Protocols: Work strictly within safety guidelines, utilizing proper ventilation, respiratory equipment, and PPE in compliance with industrial paint standards.
Mix and apply specialized high-solids, epoxy, and polyurethane systems (PPG, Endura,&Hempel) following strict induction times and ratios.
Execute high-quality metallic finishes (ensuring even distribution) and professional two-tone paint jobs with precise masking.
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot high-pressure pot systems; perform full teardowns and maintenance on spray guns and pumps.
Utilize gauges to verify Dry Film Thickness (DFT) to ensure applications meet manufacturer-spec micron depths.
Proactively manage booth health, including monitoring and changing filters to ensure optimal airflow and safety.
Requirements
The Coatings Expert: You bring proven, hands‑on experience as an Industrial Painter or Coater working with heavy‑duty machinery, structural steel, or manufactured components.
The Technical Master: You possess a deep understanding of mixing ratios, mil thickness gauges, drying times, and the distinct properties of industrial epoxies and urethanes.
The Resilient Artisan: You have the physical stamina required to lift equipment, handle spray guns for extended periods, and work comfortably inside modern spray booths.
The Commuter: You have a reliable vehicle and personal transportation to ensure dependable attendance, as local public transit to the facility is limited.
Must be able to do a respirator fit test on Day 1 (requires being clean‑shaven).
Must own CSA‑approved safety boots that cover the ankle.
Valid Forklift, Overhead Crane, and Rigging certifications are highly beneficial. Experience with sandblasting is considered a strong asset.

Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday – Friday)
Afternoon Shift: 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM (Monday – Thursday; 4x10 schedule)
Logistics at a Glance
Compensation: $27.00 – $35.00 per hour (Plus a competitive shift premium for afternoon/night hours!)
Bonus Potential: Consistent overtime hours are readily available to support our high production volumes.
