Compensation range: $135,000 to $175,000, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. Location: Edmonton or Calgary offices. Responsibilities
Act as a leader in the workplace using Onterris Standard Operating Safety and Technical Procedures Serve as the technical accountable on various scopes (based on individual competencies) including Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments, Remediation, Risk Management Plans, Remedial Action Plans, and/or Soil Monitoring ProgramsWork with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects Lead communication with client program management teams and project-related stakeholders Provide support to project managers Provide senior review and approval of technical deliverables and scopes of work Prepare and/or review technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, cost estimates, and reports, including regulatory submissionsWork within a well-organized, innovative culture that empowers professionals to focus on high quality solutions to clients Transfer knowledge, share experiences, and support the training and mentorship of colleagues Be a senior member of the technical practice community supporting team and personal innovation, growth, and success at all levelsQualifications
A degree or advanced degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or a related field (preferred) Fifteen (15) years of previous experience in environmental consulting Experience overseeing moderately complex projects, including review of reports and technical components such as conceptual site models, drilling plans, cross-sections, and sampling program selectionStrong data evaluation skills and ability to make decisions based on findings Self-motivated with strong verbal and written communication skills, and strong leadership skills Willingness to provide technical direction and active mentorship to junior and intermediate professionals and project managersRegistration in or membership in good standing of a professional organization (e.g., AIA, ASET, APEGA) Experience with the Alberta Energy Regulator’s OneStop tool and working knowledge of provincial regulatory frameworks in Western Canada (asset) A valid and clean Class 5 driver’s license with no restrictionsExperience driving scope, schedule, and budget for moderately to complex projects, primarily in the oil and gas industry We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and we encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.
