Location&Role Based in Yellowknife, you will be part of a close‑knit team working directly with clients and communities across the Northwest Territories, and supporting projects in Nunavut and Yukon.
Responsibilities
Technical lead and design on municipal/land development infrastructure projects (water supply, sewers, roads, site servicing and storm water management).
Contribute technical expertise to functional design, detailed design and construction administration activities.
Manage municipal and land development infrastructure projects.
Interact regularly with project team members and external stakeholders (clients, agencies, utilities).
Provide working knowledge of municipal servicing standards and provincial regulatory requirements.
Identify and develop new business opportunities; lead submissions in response to RFPs.
Maintain existing client relationships through proposals and statements of qualification.
Commit to self‑development and mentor junior staff.
Qualifications
Degree in civil engineering.
Licensed to practice as a professional engineer in the Northwest Territories.
10‑15 years of professional experience, preferably in consulting.
Proven leadership and business‑development capabilities.
Experience
Leadership of multidisciplinary project teams.
Design of municipal infrastructure (water supply, sewage, roadways, storm water, waste management).
Experience with trenchless technologies is an asset.
Experience in northern or remote cold‑climate environments.
Knowledge of permafrost conditions and northern engineering design considerations.
Contract administration experience, including Master Municipal Construction Documents.
Exceptional communication skills.
