Production Associate (Apparel)
Mission Thrift Store Brantford is a faith‑based non‑profit thrift store seeking a part‑time Production Associate to support the day‑to‑day operations of the Apparel department. How You Will Contribute
Sort, organize, tag, and prepare apparel merchandise according to store standards. Receive, unload, and process donated goods in the Receiving and Production areas. Support merchandise flow, inventory rotation, replenishment, and stock organization. Price apparel and related merchandise according to store guidelines.Assist with merchandising and display setup for seasonal and promotional initiatives. Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing apparel displays and sales areas. Support additional Production and retail functions throughout the store as required. Adapt to changing operational priorities and assist in other departments when needed.Greet and assist customers and donors in a friendly and professional manner. Support cashiering and Point‑of‑Sale operations as assigned. Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to support productive store operations. Consistently follow all store safety, housekeeping, and operational procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.Participate in team meetings, huddles, special projects, and additional responsibilities as assigned. Experience and Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. 1+ years of previous experience in retail, merchandising, customer service, apparel, thrift, or inventory‑related environments is preferred. Knowledge of cash registers and POS systems is considered an asset. Basic computer literacy (including Microsoft Office 365) is considered an asset.Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills. Ability to work safely and efficiently within a fast‑paced retail and production environment. Ability to learn merchandising standards and operational retail procedures quickly. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs (including duties and departments outside of Production/Apparel).Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks and see them through to completion. Strong time management skills and demonstrated reliability. Solid problem‑solving and analytical thinking abilities. Working Conditions
Job performed mostly indoors in a thrift store retail setting. Extensive work interfacing with people. Potential for conflict with people internally or externally that may be unforeseen. Combination of natural light and fluorescent/LED lighting. Handling donated goods, including items that may occasionally be dusty, worn, odorous, or otherwise in poor condition.PPE and training provided where appropriate. Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, and crouching/squatting to the floor. Lifting, carrying, pulling, and pushing goods weighing up to 25 pounds. Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes Saturdays and evenings. Compensation
