About the Role
Lead a process engineering team to develop process deliverables during studies and throughout the basic and detailed engineering project phases. Provide engineered outputs such as process design criteria, flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment sizing calculations, specifications, and mass and energy balances that align with project requirements and Ausenco standards.Lead process engineering teams within Ausenco to deliver integrated work packages for complex projects. Guide technical design during studies, basic, and detailed engineering phases. Provide expertise and guidance on calculations, drawings, and test‑work interpretations. Manage budget and resource forecasts for the process study scope.Interface with other engineering disciplines to achieve best‑practice process design. Contribute to the Global Ausenco Process Team. Stay current with latest process technology developments. Embed design innovation and lean thinking into process designs. Represent Ausenco’s corporate image at marketing events and conferences.Adhere to industry safety protocols and demonstrate leadership. About You
Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent. P.Eng. or eligible to be licensed in Ontario. Minimum 12years’ experience in mineral concentrator and/or hydrometallurgical plant design, including study delivery (scoping, pre‑feasibility, feasibility, trade‑offs, basic and detailed engineering). Experience with gold, silver, copper, base metals, and battery metals (nickel, lithium, cobalt) preferred.Field experience in construction, commissioning or operations is a benefit. Experience in a consulting engineering capacity. Demonstrated leadership with project‑management, lead‑design, and supervisory skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate technical issues with clients.Team player with initiative and ingenuity in engineering solutions. Capacity to convey field and engineering experience to peers and design activities. Alignment with Ausenco’s corporate culture and client‑base business cultures. Benefits
