Description
We are seeking an experienced Production Operator to join our client’s dynamic team in Brantford, Ontario. The role involves operating and maintaining high‑tech manufacturing equipment to meet production targets while adhering to the highest quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Operate assigned process(es) including start‑up, shutdown, and product changeovers.

Troubleshoot process problems and ensure all production quality requirements are met.

Operate complex process units such as twin‑screw compounding extruders, compaction, and pulverizing equipment.

Manage auxiliaries including solids transferring, feeding, and mixing equipment to maintain flow.

Follow established procedures and safety rules to facilitate efficient production cycles.

Facilitate process development for new and existing products, collaborating with engineering teams.

Operate plastic processing equipment including extruders, grinders, packaging lines, and mixers.

Drive a forklift safely during the 12‑hour shift to move materials across the facility.

Perform quality testing in the laboratory on various samples and report findings to the supervisor.

Segregate production that fails to meet specifications immediately.

Perform general labor and housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Qualifications

Grade 12 education or equivalent.

2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within a process‑driven industry.

Experience with twin‑screw extruders highly favorable.

Forklift certification or significant forklift driving experience required.

Experience setting up and starting up sophisticated industrial equipment.

Ability to work 12‑hour (Continental) rotating shifts, including night shifts, to support a 24/7/365 operation.

Physical ability to stack 55‑pound bags on pallets at a rate of up to 80 per hour.

Comfort working in hot and occasionally dusty environments (requires a clean‑shaven face for respirator fit).
