Description
We’re looking for a talented Packaging Designer to join our fast-moving, multi-brand creative team for a 6-8 week contract role. This role is perfect for someone who loves translating brand identity into physical form—and who understands how great packaging can drive both conversion and customer experience. You’ll lead packaging design and production across multiple brands, ensuring every box, insert, label, and retail display is beautiful, compliant, and manufactured with precision. You will work closely with Creative, Merchandising, and Supply Chain teams, and collaborate directly with packaging vendors to ensure designs are print-ready, color-accurate, consistent, and optimized for production. Scope - Design and update packaging for Miracle Made, GIR, and Onsen products (boxes, inserts, labels, retail display packaging, etc.) - Create packaging concepts that balance brand storytelling, product education, and conversion-driving clarity - Collaborate with Creative Director to apply and evolve each brand's visual language across physical packaging - Lead packaging refreshes, new product packaging, and line extensions - Prepare and deliver fully production-ready files to manufacturing partners (dielines, bleeds, color builds, finishes, etc.) - Manage color accuracy across CMYK,one, and specialty inks - Recommend production methods, materials, coatings, and finishes that enhance perceived product value while staying cost-conscious - Review press sheets, samples, and pre-production prototypes and provide annotated feedback Skills & Qualifications - 3–6+ years of experience in packaging design and production for DTC, retail, or consumer goods brands (home goods experience a plus) - Expert knowledge of print production workflows, color management (CMYK, Pantone), dielines, substrates, finishes, and vendor file handoff - Strong understanding of how packaging drives brand perception, education, and customer experience - Ability to balance aesthetic craft with production practicality, ensuring files are both beautiful and manufacturable - Knowledge of Costco, Amazon, or retail packaging requirements is a plus - Highly organized, detail-obsessed, and consistent with file hygiene and version control - Experienced in managing multiple projects and product lines in a quick-paced environment - Exceptional visual sensibility with a keen eye for typography, hierarchy, and layout - Able to follow and evolve brand guidelines to ensure packaging assets are cohesive and on-brand - Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign; familiarity with Figma is a strong plus - Comfortable working with project and communication tools such as Asana, Google Workspace, Slack, etc. - Confident communicator who can clearly present work and collaborate cross-functionally - Self-directed and proactive, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively - Strong time management and ability to consistently meet deadlines Must be able to start in the next 2-3 weeks. Contract would span a 6-8 week timeline. $30-$40 CAD per hour. Fully remote role.
