This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an award-winning group, where you will apply your expertise to deliver impactful projects that help shape and connect communities across British Columbia and Western Canada.Your Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to both interdisciplinary and geotechnical‐specific project teams by delivering sound and reliable geotechnical engineering recommendations and demonstrate your ability to bring innovation to our field of practiceDevelop, promote, and maintain relationships with internal and external clients, as the primary point of contactManage geotechnical projects of varying scope and complexityLead proposals, make informed engineering decisions, and oversee the successful delivery of projectsCollaborate with senior engineers to deliver technical services in both field and office settingsProvide strategic mentorship and coaching to support the growth and development of emerging engineering professionalsCommunicate effectively with clients, geotechnical and project team members and Stantec colleagues from across North AmericaPromote strong workplace health and safety practicesRepresent Stantec in the community, with local geotechnical societies, and University settings to enhance brand awarenessContribute to the development of technical papers, participate in conference proceedings, and engage actively in committees and technical working groupsYour Capabilities and CredentialsExperience in heavy civil geotechnical engineering applications including power, roads and highways, water and wastewater, tunneling and trenchless methods, slope stability, fresh water dams and numerical analysisDemonstrates the capability to perform effectively in a dynamic, fast‐paced environment, complemented by strong proficiency in both verbal and written English communicationStrong technical expertise alongside exceptional oral and written communication skills, complemented by advanced analytical and project management capabilitiesCollaborates effectively with senior leadership, performs under pressure, meets deadlines, and works cohesively within diverse team environmentsDemonstrates the ability to coach and mentor developing engineering professionalsValid BC Driver's LicenseEducation and ExperienceA degree in Civil, Geotechnical or Geological Engineering as well as a professional engineering license in British Columbia (registered with EGBC).A minimum of 7 years' experience in geotechnical engineering design and consulting, with a primary focus on projects within British Columbia or Western Canada.Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.Pay RangeLocations in Lower Mainland – BC – Min Salary $91,800.00 – Max Salary $133,100.00Pay TransparencyIn compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
