As a member of the Quality Control team, you will be directly responsible for in-process quality control activities within multiple cleanrooms, supporting the development, manufacturing, and sales of Kardium products. Occasional work on weekends and statutory holidays may be required, as the role oversees QC operations seven days a week on a continuous basis. Please note, this opportunity is an on-site work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC. Meaningful work you will be a part of You will engage in a diverse set of activities including some or all of the following: - Planning QC resources to meet catheter and introducer production schedules. - Monitoring QC in-process activities daily and implementing actions to improve the department’s efficiency and effectiveness. - Providing support for design transfer activities to ensure a smooth transition from new product development and design updates to commercial production. - Collaborating with the Quality, Engineering, and Risk teams to improve technical documentation, including SOPs and QC work instructions. - Supporting Quality Engineering and Mechanical Engineering teams with root cause investigations, as needed. - Hiring and developing QC supervisors and technicians. - Enhancing training methods and ensuring QC personnel training records are maintained and up to date What you bring to the team Our Kardium team is smart, creative, and passionate about creating cutting-edge medical devices to help improve people’s lives. You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes: - A bachelor’s degree or diploma in a technical field. - A minimum of seven years of relevant quality control experience, preferably in the medical devices manufacturing industry. - Proven experience in a leadership role. - Exposure/experience with mechanical engineering/manufacturing - Familiarity with ISO 13485 and US FDA Quality System Regulation (QSR) requirements is preferred. - Strong communication skills across all organizational levels. - A proactive attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as appropriate. Compensation Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
