As a Counsellor in Health and Counselling Services, you will deliver individual and group counselling for 2SLGBTQIA+ students across Burnaby and Surrey campuses. Your expertise in student development theory will guide programming initiatives aimed at promoting social and psychological well-being. Collaboration with faculty and staff is key, particularly in crisis situations.

Key Responsibilities: • Provide personal counselling to 2SLGBTQIA+ students • Conduct workshops and group activities focused on well-being • Collaborate with staff in crisis intervention efforts • Deliver outreach services and programming initiatives • Assist with faculty consultations regarding student crises

Requirements: • Masters degree in Counselling Psychology or related field • Registered Clinical Counsellor designation with BCACC • Three years of counselling experience with post-secondary students • Knowledge of anti-oppressive practices and trauma-informed care • Familiarity with diverse and intersectional student issues
