Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer (Burnaby)

The role involves working closely with senior engineers, project managers and design support staff on projects mainly in Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley. It includes providing guidance to junior staff and acting as Engineer of Record or supporting design engineering on assignments. What a day at EXP has in store for you Preparing proposals, scopes and budgets Supporting geotechnical site investigations Conducting geotechnical analysis and preparing reports Supporting design submissions such as Issued for Permit drawings and Issued for Construction drawings Preparing Letters of Assurance documents to Building Authority as required Supporting project construction meetings and technical inquiries Conducting field reviews to support EoR quality assurance and preparing field review reporting Preparing Letters of Compliance documents to Building Authority as required Preparing or supporting close‑out documents as required What your experience looks like Bachelor’s degree in civil or geological engineering Registration as qualified engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC) 5 to 8 years of relevant experience Strong technical, problem‑solving, decision‑making, and attention to detail and accuracy skills Team player with proven ability to work as part of project teams Excellent organizing, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Strong computer skills using MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD and engineering programs such as gINT, SlopeW, MSEW Valid driver’s license to travel to and from client offices and project sites Project management experience an asset The salary range for this role is between $105,000 to $125,000.
