Landscape Construction Foreman (Calgary)

Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Landscape Foreman to lead our landscaping projects and team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in horticulture and landscape maintenance, and hands-on experience in irrigation, gardening, and construction. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality standards, and managing a team of landscapers to deliver exceptional outdoor spaces for our clients. Responsibilities - Supervise and coordinate landscape maintenance activities, including planting, pruning, mowing, and fertilizing - Oversee irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure efficient water use - Lead landscaping construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring safety and quality standards are met - Manage team members by assigning tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring performance - Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations - Communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress - Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in valuable working condition - Assist with horticultural tasks such as gardening and plant health management Experience - Proven supervisory experience in landscape maintenance or construction projects - Strong knowledge of horticulture principles, gardening techniques, and plant care - Experience with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting - Familiarity with landscape construction processes and materials - Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively - Prior experience in supervising crews engaged in outdoor or construction work is highly desirable Pay: From $28.00 per hour Benefits: - Dental care - Extended health care - On-site parking Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2otzac
