Description
Staffmax is supporting our client in hiring a skilled Maintenance Technician for an 8-month contract. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and building systems within a manufacturing facility. Contract Length: 8 Months Location: Calgary, AB Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic systems Document repairs and log equipment maintenance history Assist with facility repairs (lighting, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) Ensure equipment meets safety and operational standards Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize downtime Coordinate with production staff to schedule maintenance efficiently Requirements: 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic systems Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and schematics Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Safety-focused with strong communication skills Trade certification (preferred but not required) This long-term contract offers a fantastic opportunity for a technician to demonstrate their skillset in a supportive and well-organized facility.
