What Alberta Counselling Centre Offers Alberta Counselling is a well-established, thriving practice that has been serving clients in Alberta for over a decade. We offer a warm, cooperative workplace with a team of 18–20 psychologists who consult with each other frequently. Clients consistently describe the office as beautiful, often commenting on the abundance of plants and the large, floor to ceiling windows in every therapy room. Each room has adjustable lighting and blinds to accommodate client preferences and is filled with natural light. Professional Growth: We offer a subsidy for psychologists to attend EMDRIA-approved EMDR training to expand your skills. Flexibility: Contract positions available for 2–3 shifts per week, with versatile scheduling. We’re open 7 days a week from 9am–9pm, so you can choose the shifts that work best for you. No Hassle Scheduling: We provide the clients, no need to hustle for referrals, generate social media posts, or offer free consultations. Our full-time onsite receptionist and administrative assistants handle all client bookings and administrative tasks, so you don’t have to. You bring your professionalism, clinical skills, compassion, and commitment to client care and we'll fill your schedule. Compensation: Commensurate with training and experience. Qualities of the Ideal Candidate: - Comfortable working in a private practice setting with other psychologists. - Solid foundation in evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, EMDR, DBT, ACT, Gottman). - Experienced working with some or all of the following: individuals, couples, families, adults, youth, and children. - Able to provide a combination of online therapy and in-office therapy. - Dependable, punctual, and organized with session documentation and scheduling. - Skilled at creating a warm, non-judgmental therapeutic environment. - Registered psychologist in the province of Alberta and in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
