Construction Supervisor (Northeast Calgary)

Your Role: As a Construction Supervisor in our Calgary District, you will: - Partner with the project manager to develop work schedules, formwork designs, and trade execution plans. - Lead, coach and mentor project team including direct and indirect reports - Create detailed workface plans and six-week look-ahead schedules to keep projects on track. - Organize resources—crane time, materials, equipment—and oversee site inventory. - Ensure site safety by completing HSE documentation (Fall Protection Plans, crane lift plans, Confined Space permits) before work begins. - Works with project manager to ensure implementation of PCL's safety program - Enforce PCL’s quality and discipline standards, delivering actionable feedback on quality, production, and safety. - Review and understand the contract and subcontract, and develop plans too ensure budgets, forecasts and schedules are met. - Facilitate coordination meetings with project managers, trades, and HSE staff. - Handle field administration: review timecards, track worker hours, and monitor material costs. - Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationship's with all stakeholders. What You Will Bring to the Role: - Journeyperson certificate in carpentry or related trade, or diploma/degree in engineering/construction. - 5 years’ progressive field supervision experience. - Advanced blueprint reading and construction specification interpretation. - In depth knowledge and experience in construction industry and company operations, including building materials, methods and procedures. - Ability to lead and run effective site meetings with the client, consultants, trades, own forces work and internal employees. - Strong trade-related math skills (area, volume, yield calculations). - Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). - Experience with digital scheduling and timekeeping tools.
