THE ROLE COI is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our safety management system across Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Ontario. This role is completes the day to day tasks within the health and safety team, works closely with Operations and Leaders and requires subject matter expertise to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation, Certificate of Recognition (COR) standards, and applicable National Safety Code (NSC) requirements. You will play a key role in strengthening our safety culture and supporting our growing, multi-site operations. This is a full time permanent position, working out of our impeccably designed and furnished office. You’ll mostly work from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with irregular or extended hours as projects demand. 100% of your time will be in the office. THE DAY TO DAY - Support a COR-aligned Safety Management System across all regions - Ensure compliance with provincial OHS legislation (AB, BC, MB, ON) - Support COR certification, internal and external audits, and corrective actions - Assist and maintain incident reporting, investigations, and trend analysis - Support and track safety training, orientations, and competency programs - Support Joint Health & Safety Committees (JHSCs) across all locations - Support contractor and third-party safety compliance (e.g., ISNetworld, Avetta) - Support driver and fleet safety programs aligned with NSC requirements - Conduct regular site visits to offices, warehouses, and construction sites - Provide guidance, and coaching to supervisors and safety personnel - Report on safety performance, risks, and continuous improvement initiative YOU BRING THE FOLLOWING - 2+ years of progressive health & safety experience (construction or multi-site preferred) - Strong working knowledge of COR, OHS legislation, and safety auditing - Experience supporting multiple jurisdictions and field operations - Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills - Proven ability to influence safety culture at all organizational levels - Willingness to travel to support sites and projects as required ABOUT US Contemporary Office Interiors (COI) is a privately-owned MillerKnoll Certified Dealer, DIRTT Certified Construction Partner, Architectural Walls and Commercial Flooring provider.
