Join Stó:lō Nation as a Special Project Summer Educator, focusing on Indigenous students' English language learning in Chilliwack, BC. Lead impactful 4-week sessions designed for high school students. Effective from June 29 to July 24, 2026, this role requires a qualified teacher to deliver English First Peoples courses and scaffold skill-building activities. Ideal candidates should demonstrate prior successful teaching experience, knowledge of the First People's learning principles, and an understanding of the local community's educational resources. Collaborate within the Indigenous education framework to enhance learning outcomes and celebrate cultural heritage. Key Responsibilities: • Teach English First Peoples 11 & 12 content deeply • Adapt teaching methods for diverse student needs • Regularly assess and report on student progress • Collaborate with community education leaders • Implement successful instructional strategies in the classroom Requirements: • Extensive teaching qualifications in relevant subjects • Knowledgeable about Indigenous cultures and community services • Solid ability to work with diverse stakeholders • Commitment to educational equity and student success • Willingness to lead within the program’s development Drive educational success for Indigenous learners and navigate the cultural landscape of the Stó:lō Nation.
