As a full-time Float Social Worker at Xyólheméylh, you will work under the Delegated Team Leader and engage with Indigenous communities. Your background in social work will allow you to contribute effectively to the various social service needs of families. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of cultural values to keep children connected to their heritage.
Key Responsibilities:• Develop trusting relationships with children and families • Maintain contractual arrangements with caregivers and professionals • Balance competing priorities for effective service delivery • Write concise reports for diverse audiences • Conduct assessments and evaluate interventionsuccess
Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field • Three years experience in human services (an asset) • Must pursue C6 delegation training in BC • Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and their impacts • Valid BC Driver’s License and Criminal Records Check required
