Dental Assistant Level II (Cobourg)

Overview We are seeking a Dental Assistant Level II to join our dental team. The Dental Assistant Level II will support dentists in providing high-quality dental care, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining effective clinic operations. It is important that the dental assistant is ok with corny dental puns and Star Wars references. Responsibilities - Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including some Invisalign and pediatrics - Prepare treatment rooms by and setting up necessary supplies - Taking dental radiographs - Manage patient records accurately using AbelDent software systems, training will be provided - Provide patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort - Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards - Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions Experience - Dental Assistant with Level II certification - Knowledge of dental assisting best practices, including sterilization and infection control procedures - Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to dentistry is desirable - Prior experience supporting dental reception duties is advantageous We are looking for a positive person who is ready to jump and learn the job!
