Full-Time Permanent Dental Receptionist / Assistant RECEIVING APPLICATIONS FROM: March 23, 2026 - April 7, 2026
Description Busy, client-focused dental office located in a Community Health Centre in Port Hope, seeking a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented
Dental Receptionist / Assistant
to join our team. This is primarily a dental receptionist position, but some assisting will be required. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both front desk coordination and clinical support.
Reception Duties:
Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner
Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations
Process payments, insurance claims, and pre-authorizations
Handle phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries
Assist the dentist during procedures
Prepare and sterilize instruments in accordance with IPAC standards
Set up and break down operatories
Take digital radiographs
Ensure patient comfort and provide post-operative instructions
Professional Development:
Maintain professional competence through ongoing learning and participation in educational opportunities.
Demonstrate openness to feedback and commitment to continuous improvement.
Experience Qualifications:
Dental Reception and Dental Assisting experience needed
Completion of an accredited Level II Dental Assisting program
Passing the National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB) examHARP Certification
Knowledge and understanding of IPAC sterilization and infection control protocols
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
Experience with dental software (Tracker is an asset)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Salary– $26-$28/hour based on experience.
Hours– Monday – Friday 8:45 am – 5:15 pm – 37.5 hours/week
