Electrical Engineering Specialist Role (Edmonton)

Suncor is hiring an Electrical Engineering Specialist to manage high-voltage T&D; systems in Fort McMurray. This role delivers critical operational support with emphasis on safety and compliance. As a senior electrical engineering qualified, you will play an integral role in operating decision-making. With a P. Eng. designation and at least 12 years of experience in high-voltage environments, you'll ensure compliance with FAC-008 and other industry standards. Your strong analytical skills will help guide real-time system operation and risk management. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical support for real-time system conditions - Communicate risks and prioritize issues through operational reviews - Maintain operational procedures and approved facility ratings - Document outage plans and assess operational events - Lead investigations and performance analysis initiatives Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering - Minimum 12 years relevant experience required - P.
