Automation and Controls Engineer/Specialist 12 Month Term Our Automation and Controls Engineers/Specialists develop and implement solutions to optimize production processes, improve plant safety, product quality, and production throughput. They are responsible for controls standards, PLC/HMI programming, equipment commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting of control system issues and project support. We’re looking for an Automation & Controls Engineer/Specialist for a 12 Month Term to join our Athabasca OSB Division, located in Slave Lake, Alberta. This state‑of‑the‑art facility has the longest continuous press in North America, giving us the ability to produce a diverse range of cutting-edge products for customers around the world. A qualified Trades Certification with relevant experience, an Engineering degree, or an Engineering Technical Diploma. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment (forest products manufacturing preferred). Experience with PLC programming such as Allen Bradley, HMI or Rockwell (Rockwell Studio 5000 preferred). Proficient with FactoryTalk software (View, Linx, AssetCentre, etc.).
