Senior Interior Designer (Edmonton)

Your new company A boutique interiors firm in Edmonton with a strong reputation across the corporate and healthcare space. They're not the kind of practice that treats interiors as a side offering bolted onto an architecture firm. This is what they do and it shows in the quality of the work. The Calgary studio is the head office and the team is in growth mode, with real opportunity to step into a senior seat and have a hand in shaping where the practice goes next. Your new role You'll lead projects end to end across the corporate and healthcare portfolio, taking work from initial client conversations through to handover. The day to day mix is mostly office and workplace fitouts and healthcare facilities, with the occasional hospitality piece thrown in. You'll report into the Calgary Principal and the broader leadership group, with one or two project designers or design assistants reporting up to you. There's real scope to mentor the team below you while being the client facing lead on the projects you own. What you'll need to succeed Solid intermediate to senior level experience in interior design with a portfolio that leans into corporate or healthcare work. Hospitality is a nice add but it's not the focus. The right person is a self starter who's proactive about moving work forward, confident in front of clients and comfortable running their own projects without needing to be checked on. Solid project management skills are non negotiable since you'll be juggling timelines, budgets and consultants across multiple files. Internally you're someone the junior team looks up to. Externally you're a steady hand clients trust. Education in BID/BArch and NCIDQ are highly desirable, but not essential. What you'll get in return Base salary of up to $100,000 at the senior level depending on experience and portfolio, benefits, 3 weeks vacation & 1-2 days WFH a week.
