Controller (Edmonton)

We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead financial operations and provide transparent, timely insight into business performance for our Edmonton, Alberta team. This position plays a key role in strengthening internal controls, guiding the accounting function, and supporting leadership with accurate reporting and analysis. The successful candidate will combine strong technical accounting knowledge with people leadership and a practical, detail-oriented approach. Responsibilities: Oversee the organizations financial results by tracking performance, identifying trends, and preparing meaningful analysis for leadership review. Produce monthly financial packages, key metrics, and management reports, ensuring information is accurate, well-organized, and delivered on schedule. Establish, maintain, and improve financial controls to support compliance with company standards and applicable regulations. Direct day-to-day accounting activities, including review of journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll-related entries, and required statutory filings. Lead, coach, and support the accounting team by setting expectations, developing capabilities, and promoting high-quality work. Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing supervision of accounting staff to build a strong and effective team. Maintain productive working relationships with banking contacts, suppliers, auditors, and other external financial stakeholders.
