About The Role Mechanical Engineering Internship– 8‑month term at Strathcona Works facility in Alberta, Canada, starting Fall 2026.
Focus on scoping and planning projects such as coordinating critical plant drawing updates, improving plant dust collection systems, and plant safety initiatives involving vehicle/pedestrian separation.
Responsibilities
Plan and scope engineering projects related to plant operations.
Coordinate plant drawing updates and enhance safety systems.
Contribute to plant safety initiatives and environmental improvements.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, management, suppliers, and contractors.
Qualifications
Committed to safety for self and team.
At least one year completed in a Mechanical Engineering degree or related field.
Safety mindset and leadership skills.
Flexibility, autonomy, and strong communication skills.
Valid driving licence.
Right to work in Canada.
Full-time availability during the internship term.
