Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Process Safety Engineer to support complex energy and industrial projects across our Projects Canada portfolio. This role will contribute across the full project lifecycle, including conceptual studies, FEED, and detailed engineering. The successful candidate will provide technical safety leadership, ensuring that process safety, fire protection, and risk management principles are embedded into design and execution. We are seeking experienced professionals with strong technical expertise, stakeholder engagement capabilities, and the ability to influence safe and compliant project outcomes across multidisciplinary teams. The Role The Senior Process Safety Engineer will act as a subject matter expert in process safety and fire protection, supporting multiple projects and clients. You will lead hazard identification and risk assessment activities, develop safety design philosophies, and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards. This role requires a combination of technical depth, leadership in safety studies, and the ability to guide engineering teams and clients in implementing effective risk mitigation strategies. Expected - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering - Registered or eligible for registration with APEGA - Minimum 10 years of process safety engineering experience - Strong experience in midstream and downstream projects - Strong knowledge of fire protection codes and standards (., NFPA, API) - Experience leading and facilitating PHA studies (HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, SIL) - Strong understanding of process engineering fundamentals - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities across projects and teams - Legally authorized to work in Canada Desirable - Experience in firewater system design - Experience in consequence analysis and dispersion modeling (., PHAST) - Experience in facility siting and hazardous area classification - Experience reviewing engineering deliverables across full project lifecycl - Experience supporting oil sands or large-scale industrial projects #J-18808-Ljbffr Required Skill Profession Other General Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ol60h
